Staffed by the Canons Regular of St. John Cantius | Serving the Diocese of Springfield in Illinois
St. Katharine Drexel Parish
On January 1, 2001, Bishop
George J. Lucas issued a decree
uniting two parishes, Sacred Heart
and St. Patrick, under the patronage of St.
Katharine Drexel.
Today, St. Katharine Drexel Parish is the most
liturgically diverse parish in the Diocese of
Springfield in Illinois. We offer the Ordinary
Form of the Mass in both English and Spanish.
St. Katharine Drexel is also Springfield's "Home
of the Latin Mass," otherwise known as the
Extraordinary Form of the Mass.

Also included in the daily liturgical schedule
at St. Katharine Drexel Parish is the Liturgy of the
Hours, led by the Canons Regular of St. Cantius.

The priests and brothers of the Canons
Regular of St. John Cantius serve in
parishes and help Catholics to rediscover
a profound sense of the Sacred through
solemn liturgies, devotions, sacred art
and music, as well as instruction in the
heritage of the Church, catechetics and
Catholic culture.
